Our Reading Culture

Reading Rewards

We want to celebrate home reading. Every time a child reads at home, and it is noted in their planner, they will get a stamp on their bookmark. They will then be rewarded at different levels with a growing range of prizes.

World Book Day

Patron of Reading

We are very fortunate to have partnered with local author and poet, Conrad Burdekin, to be our Patron of Reading. Conrad’s regular events in school promote a love of reading and inspire children to explore texts in different ways.

Throughout the year Conrad will lead the children in performance poetry, generating short stories and judging house competitions, as well as many other events.
